On Saturday 316 lbs of oranges, lemons, and grapefruit were gleaned by the Picker Squadron, Edi Birsan, Nancy Glenfield, Beri Kasper, Brigitte Ross, Lee Koellermeier, Kathy Lafferty, and first time picker Wendee Williamson. This fruit was delivered to the Food Bank. Thanks to Carol Toms for making the trees available.
Sunday was another great day of gleaning. Check out this huge lemon tree with lemons as big as soft balls. We got about 200 lbs that are headed to Monument Crisis Center on Monday. Not only was this the first gleaning for Julia Neely but she led the team which included Beri Kasper and Kathy Lafferty.
